 Psalms 91:11-14

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands,  so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;   you will trample the great lion and the serpent.   "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

Psalm 84:10

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Psalms 23:  A psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;   your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.  AMEN

Psalm 1:1-6

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on its law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water,  which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Not so the wicked! They are like chaff  that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,  nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,  but the way of the wicked will perish.

Proverbs 6:16 – 19

7 deadly sins

There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:   haughty eyes,  a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,  a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,   a false witness who pours out lies  and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

Proverbs 22:7

Proverbs 6:5
